Keynotes for a world learning to be together.

I speak to audiences about the work of our time: how we bridge our divides, mature as leaders and as human beings, and collaborate at the depth this moment demands. Rooted in Zen, adult development, and conflict resolution, and drawn from my two books with Shambhala.

What a talk can do

The best talks do not only inform. They connect a room to something larger, and to each other. I aim to leave an audience more awake, more honest, and more hopeful about what we can become together.

Signature talks

Each is tailored to your audience and your moment. A few of the themes I am most often asked to speak on:

Compassionate Conversations: Bridging Our Deepest Divides

How to turn the conversations we most avoid, across politics, identity, and belief, into openings for connection rather than rupture. The practical skills of listening, honest expression, and staying human in the middle of disagreement. Drawn from my book of the same name.

Waking Up and Growing Up: The Making of a Whole Leader

Why becoming more effective and wise are the same journey. How inner awakening and developmental maturity together produce the presence, emotional range, and clarity that leadership in a distracted, divided age requires.

Discovering Fire for the Second Time

Collaboration may be the most powerful and least tapped resource we have. Why our hardest challenges can only be met together, and the inner and relational capacities that unlock the power of collaboration.

Formats

I offer interactive keynotes and fireside conversations, each shaped to your audience and moment.

Grounding

My work rests on two books published by Shambhala, Compassionate Conversations and Waking Up and Growing Up, with a foreword by Ken Wilber and praise from Margaret Wheatley, Kristin Neff, and other leading voices. I have taught at Stanford in the Designing Your Life program, and I work with leaders and teams at organizations including lululemon, Google, MIT, the Packard Foundation, and mission-driven institutions around the world.
